Food was fresh, cooked to order and delicious. Had beef broccoli and noodles, chicken and string bean. The egg rolls were fresh.
Service was fast. Very polite and friendly staff.
Location was very clean and in order. Prices were reasonable. Went in for lunch menu. Portions were very generous. Quality of meat was excellent and fresh.
Loved this place. Will be going back. The taste of the food was very nice.
I love this place. I live in the South Bay and the closest place for me to get legit delicious Chinese food was going to Chinatown (Hop Li and Yang Chow). Now I can get Chinatown quality here is the Southbay. I eat here all the time now and it's so good. Kung Pao Chicken with white meat is my favorite. But everything I have ordered here like House Special Shrimp, Hot and Sour Soup, and Steamed Fish is all GREAT!
Some of the best Chinese food in Los Angeles. This isn't your normal Chinese take out. Everything is served family style.
My personal faves are the Mushu Chicken, Wor Wonton soup, Kungpow Chicken, and the Orange Chicken again, not your normal O. Chicken.
Friendly staff, great taste, great portions, will be back!
Highly recommend the combination fried rice and combinnation crispy pan fried noodles!
Tried this place out for lunch, the food was delicious, Customer Service was above and beyond, and the lunch specials were a food price. Good portions for being a lunch special. Will definitely be returning.

Chinese takeout spot with a VERY toned down Szechuan spice. Came here for late night food and the lady was so nice!!! Dishes I recommend are string beans,Kung Pao chicken, and string beans. Im Chinese and thought the spicy szechuan chicken wasnt spicy at all, more like takeout style than actual szechuan. All the dishes need more garlic, onion, szechuan peppers, and chilli peppers to qualify as authentic szechuan food. Chilli oil on the condiments was too pickley. No this is not authentic szechuan food where everything is stir fried in mountains of spices. This is more like above average Chinese takeout with a twist and the service is excellent. Very good prices.
Their food is fresh and delicious. Fried rice is not too oily like other Chinese restaurants I have visited which I like. It's my first time and I enjoyed their food and services. I like the place and the atmosphere was calm.
Very authentic and tasty. So happy to find authentic reasonably priced Chinese food that is freshly made to order, quick in preparation and clean in tgis area. I ordered to go but saw several tables occupied and served traditionally with rice in serving bowl. Vegetables were fresh and crispy. Meat well flavored and tender. Will be coming back.
Man the food was great. I read some bad reviews saying the food lacked flavor…however my food was extremely flavorful. I’ve had bad Chinese food before and this was far from it. They also make it fresh to order. Customer service was great. She helped me save a few bucks on my order. It’s a little pricey but the quality is great. Quality over quantity always wins!!
Comfortable place, good service, delicious food
Great food, fast service and good sized portions… will be coming back again! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options on the menu Parking: It’s in a strip mall plenty of parking spaces
Good place to grab a quick fried rice and a flavorful Chinese sides. Been in the neighborhood for a long time and the service was really quick.
Don’t be fooled by the austere look of the place. Go in and order.
Took my Chinese wife here for dinner, she didn’t like when we sat down. However, the food (steamed fish, calamari, Szechuan chicken) was excellent. We both enjoyed sharing. Fast friendly service. Hot delicious food. She’s headed back to China to visit and I’ll be heading back to AZ. Fond memories of this inconspicuous little Chinese restaurant.
I would be happy to write a review on Chinese friends restaurant for you. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chinese friends and I have to say, it is undoubtedly one of the best Chinese restaurants in the South Bay Area. The quality of the food is simply superb, with nothing being frozen and everything being made to order, ensuring that the dishes are fresh and delicious. One of the standout aspects of Chinese friends is their variety of dishes. They have an extensive menu that caters to everyone's taste buds. Whether you are a vegetarian or a meat lover, their menu has something for everyone. From savory meat dishes to flavorful vegetarian options, you won't be disappointed. The ambiance of the restaurant is also something to admire. It's cozy and comfortable, perfect for a casual dinner with your loved ones or a romantic date night. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to help you navigate their menu. Overall, I highly recommend Chinese friends restaurant to anyone looking to indulge in high-quality Chinese cuisine. The food is fresh, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is simply inviting. Don't miss out on experiencing this wonderful restaurant in the South Bay Area..🥢🥡🥣 Thank you • C h i n e n s e • F r i e n d s • 💮
The employees here are incredibly friendly and kind, and the food was amazing. Tons of different plates and drinks to choose from. Would totally recommend!! Vegetarian options: Lots of different plates to choose from that do not contain meat or fish. If you aren't sure if a dish has meat, the employees are always more than happy to help! Kid-friendliness: Very nice employees who will treat you like family. This place is great for the whole family
Love this place! The beautiful lady with red hair has exceptional service! She’s kind, sweet, & welcoming! The lady with blond[kinda] hair is also a beautiful soul; both are kindhearted individuals💜 The place is always busy with neighborhood regulars, officers, etc… Food is always good, I do not eat meat but satisfied with my selection, always! May God bless and stretch their lives with perfect health, wealth, and wisdom💛
Muy sabrosa comida Parking: Muy grande
Portions are good for the price. The staff was friendly. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes.
Excellent food. Authentic Chinese taste.
Excellent and friendly service, food is served hot and always made fresh when you order it. Some people here must be used to Panda express or something. This is real, fresh Chinese food, not something sitting in a steamer under lights that sits until it sells. It is Szechuan not Cantonese so there are some difference, but still a great dining experience. I noticed that most of the "complainers" mention price, so you can easily infer how what they paid affected their review. Well let them eat Chinese fast food elsewhere so I don't have to wait for them.
Really great service our server Maria was really helpful..and food was too good
First time here. Not authentic Schechuan but they tried their best to make it exactly that with my special request. The food and service was excellent, but again, not authentic Schechuan.
Love the food here. The Shumai is delicious and the Walnut Shrimp? Incredible! I've also had the sweet and sour pork which is the closest thing to my childhood favorite that I've had in a long time. I need to try more of their food. Also, I've been here twice, now. Both times there was no crowd. That being said, the service was fantastic. The waitress is always attentive and quick with my requests (chopsticks? Another drink? To-go box?). Definitely have a numver of reasons to come back here...#23, #77, #80...
Been here twice dined in the people here are very friendly. Small dining room clean. The food was good hot and lots of spice you can ask for more or less spice. I seen a few reviews who gave this place a 1 or 2 stating it was to salty on both visits I did not taste that. My orders both were hot with lots of flavor. This place did not disappoint me in anyway. The majority of thier business is pickup and there was a steady stream of locals constantly in and out for pickup of food. I think they deserve a 5.
I thought this was a little buffet fast-food place (like Hong Kong Express). Boy, was I off. It's a "legit" casual Schezuan Chinese place serving up delicious family style favorites. Portions are VERY large -- you get alot of food for the price. My 82 year ol aunt left her plate clean -- she loved it. 👌 We also took the leftovers home.
I’ve been told that when in Los Angeles eat Chinese food. I’m so glad I did. Chinese Friends was a nice treasure among the Chinese restaurants I was googling in the area. The food was exceptional and the price right for the amount of food. I can not express how delicious the food was. It was not that over salted Chinese food you find elsewhere and their sweet was just right. Their presentation deserves a praise (made it that more special). The order came with a complimentary pot of steamed rice. It would have been nice to know about the rice ahead of time: I would not have ordered the fried rice but anything excess was take out. My only dissatisfaction was the fact that they had no allergy information on their food (had a sister-in-law with gluten allergy). Regardless I look forward to the other options on their menu.
Friendly service and huge portions. A little pricey, but this isn't necessarily a fast food restaurant. A waiter came to seat me and take my order. My veggie lo mein didn't take longer than 5 minutes to come out. I'm pretty satisfied with that.
